Media guidelines

Images

Compressed formats (PNG, JPG) are preferred for the digital guide.

Resolution should be as high as practicable for the subject, as the platform will generate optimised versions.

As a guide, 2000px wide images would be optimal.

Video

Format MP4 (file extension .mp4)

Video

• Codec: H264 (Baseline profile)
• Frame Rate: 24, 25 or 30 (Constant)
• Frame Size / Resolution: 1280 x 720
• Fields: Progressive
• Bitrate: 2,500 kbit/s

Audio

• Codec: AAC-LC
• Bitrate: 128 kbit/s
• Sample Rate: 44.100 OR 48,000 kHz (retain original sample rate)

Framing

Framing should be 16:9. A 10% video safe area should be allowed. All programs should be closed captioned and this should be allowed for in framing, allowing 25% from the bottom of the screen for this purpose.
